Zach Wilson injured his right knee and was later ruled out. By video I’m concerned about a PCL injury. This is one of four knee ligaments that runs along the back of the knee. This likely isn’t an injury that would require surgery, but it could lead to a multi-week absence depending on the severity. An MRI will come tomorrow to determine what exactly he is dealing with. Following the game he described the joint as feeling “loose” but not too painful. This makes sense as the PCL is important for stability. I suspect this is a grade 2-3 sprain, indicating a partial tear to the ligament. This would mean Wilson could miss time, but it’s possible to return this season with a brace. An MRI will also look for additional cartilage or ligament damage.
