Christian McCaffrey: Panthers fans…it’s time, Christian McCaffrey is back (kinda). The multi-purpose star has been designated to return from the IR after being sidelined in Week 4. While that is very good news for anyone who likes highlights and entertaining football, Panthers head coach Matt Rhule is approaching CMC’s return with an err of caution. On Monday, Rhule said “Hopefully, we can get Christian back soon. If it’s not this week, hopefully, it will be next week.” When coming off the IR, there is a 21-day window in which players return to team activities. At any point in those 21 days, the team can activate the player. For McCaffrey, it might be in the Panthers best interest to wait a week before activating him. More on McCaffrey’s expected return.
