Donovan Mitchell Suffers Sprained Ankle in 36-point Gem

Mitchell was forced to sit out of the Jazz’s win Thursday over the Hawks with a sprained ankle. The injury took place in the fourth quarter of the Jazz’s Tuesday win over the Kings, in which Mitchell scored a season-high 36 points on 47% shooting. Utah has gotten off to an electric start to the season, going 7-1 and holding on to first place in the Western Conference. About the injury, head coach Quin Snyder said “We’re conservative and diligent about those types of things […] I think Donovan is in a good place mentally, and we will make sure that he’s in a good place physically and he’ll be back.” Donovan is listed as questionable before the 7-1 Jazz are set to face off against the 6-2 Heat today.
