David Montgomery Returned to Practice, but Has Rookie Khalil Herbert Earned a Few More Starts?

Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery was off to a hot start before a knee injury forced him to miss the last four weeks. In the Bears season opener, Montgomery rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries in a loss to the Rams. The next two weeks weren’t as productive, with no touchdowns and just 95 yards in two games. He bounced back in Week 4, where he rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns against the Detroit Lions. Unfortunately, it was in that game that Montgomery suffered the knee sprain that would move him to the IR.

Read more on his outlook for week 9.
