Baker Mayfield Will Play Through Left Shoulder Injury in Week 8

The Browns will have their quarterback on Sunday. Mayfield injured his left shoulder early in the season when a partial dislocation caused a labral tear. He was playing through it but made it worse in week 6. The second dislocation caused a more severe tear to the labrum and a fracture to the upper arm bone. Mayfield didn’t play in week 7 but is expected to return this Sunday. Off-season surgery is likely, but Mayfield will try to play through it for now. There’s a very high risk that he will suffer another dislocation this season.
